Exploring AI in the World of Work

AI is transforming the world of work across every sector, influencing not only the jobs available but also the skills employers value and the way recruitment takes place.

To help schools and colleges prepare for these changes, we’ve developed two dedicated AI learning modules. The student module explores how AI is reshaping careers, challenges common myths and helps learners understand how AI could influence their next steps after education. The educator module is designed for careers leaders, teachers and other education professionals, providing the knowledge and confidence to support meaningful conversations about AI, careers and the future workplace.

What you’ll learn:

  • How AI is being used in recruitment and hiring, and what this could mean for your future career
  • How AI is reshaping roles across a range of industries
  • The different careers available in AI and how they support organisations across other sectors

How long will it take?

  • The educator module is designed for careers leaders and teachers and takes approximately 45–60 minutes to complete. The student module is designed for learners aged 14-18, takes approximately 30–45 minutes to complete, and can be completed independently or as part of a lesson in school or college.

Entry requirements?

For staff we recommend completing the free Getting Started with AI in Education course before starting this course, although this isn’t essential if you are already confident using AI in an educational setting.
